[moona's story learn from her mistakes kits!]
A fat silver she-cat kittypet emerged from behind a big rock. Dark green moss clung to her pelt as she stretched delicatly. She shook her pelt, shaking most of the moss off. Only a few scraps clung. She licked them out with her tongue. "Hey, I've never been this far out for an adventure before," she said, "because that must be the Mist Caves! I know it's dangerous...I don't think a non-Clan cat has ever gone in there before..." She thought for a moment. "I've always wondered why. Maybe the medicine cats defend it! I bet it's a dangerous and exciting place! With lots of sparkly jewels and gems and a perfect place to adventure!" she said in her cute young-cat voice. "Well, I guess it'll be okay to go in... just for a look...." She said and bounded into the caves. She was a good way down when she heard some strange noises above her. Plop. Drip. Drop. "It's raining! What perfect background noise for this adventure." Thinking nothing more, the chubby cat continued down the underground tunnel. She scrambled up and down and around till she could hear loud rushing noises. She stopped at the end of a turn. The rushing noises... it was getting louder! She looked up at the cave ceiling just above her head. It wasn't the rain.... The sound continued to get louder. Water trickled between her back legs and she looked behind her. It was coming from behind! "IT'S A MONSTER!" she wailed and ran. The tunnel got narrower and narrower until she was practically squeezing herself through the tunnels. "Maybe I should have lost a little weight before I did this." she muttered. She was struggling to get herself through spaces that normal clan cats would easily get through. Suddenly she was stuck. But the rushing, roaring noises where gone. [reply anyone?]

Thistleclaw's paws trembled as he stood by the cave mouth, looking in at the mist and shadows through hia dull amber eyes. Rabbitwhisker rubbed her muzzle soothingly against her older brothers "It's ok....you can do this...." she smiled warmly, and then slipped into the cave, Thistleclaw followed, whiskers quivering worriedly, he felt the walls brush his tabby pelt, and heard the deadly silence in the air, the stench of death and rainwater was flooding around him, and he wanted nothing more than to run, back to camp, back to the nursery and be a kit again, close to his mother and father, safe, warm, and with no responisibily. They padded through the darkness for a while, what seemed like moons passed and the toms paw pads bled painfully. Suddenly, The tunnels opened out into a cavern, in the roof, a cleft in the rocks let shaft of silver moonlight stream into the cave, and beneath it, glistened a shimmering, silver-black pool "Are you ready to recive your nine lives?" Rabbitwhisker whispered, leading him towards it. Part of him almost said no "Yes..." "Come" she instructed, flicking her tail as she crouched, paws tucked under her y the water's edge "Lie down" He did so, his paws still trembling "Drink" she mrrowed softly, he nooded, and touched him nose to the freezing water. An Icy chill swept over him like a Leaf-bare breeze, and he began to dream.... |
